Designer for both community solar and data platform products, creating  impactful B2C and B2B experiences. 

  • Improved the community solar onboarding process, resulting in a 25% increase in user retention and a 15% decrease in drop-off rates. 

  • Optimized user interfaces for a suite of internal tools aimed at automating complex, disparate processes within the organization. This resulted in a 30% reduction in hiring needs that year 

  • Led stakeholder workshops and developed design solutions to address key factors contributing to customer attrition, leading to redesigned billing experiences that reduced payment declines by 80%. 

  • Designed a new product pilot that created a low-friction onboarding experience, reducing customer acquisition costs by 20%, generating new revenue opportunities, and aiding 25,000+ households in energy cost relief.

Completed a rotational program, gaining hands-on experience across multiple design disciplines for both commercial and consumer products 

  • Addressed user pain points and designed a high-visibility mobile experience to link external accounts, enabling mobile users to make transfers and payments. This initiative increased funding rates by 8% and significantly reduced call volume.

  • Designed the first design system for our servicing platform, enhancing design speed, brand trustworthiness, and engineering efficiency; now utilized by 600+ designers and engineers.

  • Partnered with stakeholders to define strategy, target user personas, and common capabilities for a new commercial banking platform.

 

Product Designer, Shogun Enterprises

Internship 2018

- Assessed user needs and designed a bid estimation tool to boost engagement. I conducted user testing and partnered with product and engineering to iterate on design solutions. This tool became an attractive value driver for our customers.
- Redesigned Hearth’s home page after determining new product strategy and target users. Conducted journey maps, wireframes, and user testing. Worked closely with product and tech in an iterative process.
- Developed a customer experience research and insights report. I developed user personas, uncovered pain points and learnings, and developed design recommendations to increase overall customer satisfaction and app usage.
- Designed direct mailers in order to educate users about financing and Hearth’s capabilities. These campaigns increased 1st and 2nd activation rates by 40%.

Black Ambition Prize Winner

In my free time, I lead design at Shea’d - a chrome extension to help customers support black-owned businesses. We won 100K from Pharrell William’s Black Ambition Prize to grow our product!
